The Adilettes, my best friends for the Summer! Really? What was I thinking wanting to write this down, I stopped the thought cause sounded too superficial and childish, it works when you are in your 20′s but in my 30′s, don’t think so!
It’s true that I like these slides, a lot though, and wore them like crazy, but wouldn’t this sentence be offensive for my real best friends, my babes that were there for me, for ages?
My Mom say that I was picking my own clothes since I was three, still, she’s my Mom, I’m surprised she didn’t say I was picking my own colored diapers when I was three months. Since I can remember, I had a weird close relationship with clothes, in the way that whatever the kids didn’t like, I did, and wore! I was a shy little girl, so maybe this was the way for me to stand out from the crowd, dressing weird and differently. And in time, this trait develop in such a manner, that became my second nature, also called “talent” by my close ones.
And then I started my blog, kind of late, but felt so stupid when was interviewed for a job in London, and asked about my blog address, so decided I really need this online journal. You can’t fake this one, like you could do with a Resume, it is what it is!
It’s true I exaggerate a lot, while talking about clothes, but it’s just for fun, ironical sometimes, my friends know what I’m talking about, clothes and shoes and purses are not my best friend, nor my loves! I don’t live for them and definitely won’t die either! I kind of liked this label I put on myself, of a Fashion lover obsessed freak, for years and years, but won’t do anymore! Is it Maturity that waits around the corner?
So my point is, are we girls, truly obsessed with clothing items? I mean, we really can’t live without this purse and that top, do we really need to spend all our money on stuff that overload our armoires? What is it with us?
He just didn’t want to leave…
