As you all got used by now (I hope you did), I like mixing old & new, but the result must be from our days.
I am not so much into “old, vintage looks” entirely, that gives you the impression you are from another Era( don’t get me wrong, I like watching others dressed this way, but I think it just doesn’t suits my personality), but more on bringing the beauty and uniqueness from the past, mixing it with modern, new pieces so the result is very appealing and edgy.
Here, I chose to wear a blouse taken from my mother’s wardrobe (it’s mine now, no doubt) and my Topshop faux leather trousers for a night out ( don’t count the sunnies, I’m not so cool to wear them by night).
This blouse was manufactured in Romania for France, around 1985, and was part of a collection named TIME Collection. It’s 100% viscose, really well made and comfortable. In a period of time when Ceausescu was the dictator of our country, it was really hard to find and buy nice clothes. My mother was lucky, working in the textile industry she had direct access to collections made for abroad, and being a fashionista of that time, she couldn’t resist of not buying everything that was offered to her ( and I understand her completely).
Thank you Mama for being an inspiration for me and thank you all for reading and watching me!
Have a wonderful weekend!
